Botox Parties? This Ain't the Sixties

An invitation to a party: food, drink, fancy dress... and a cosmetic surgery demonstration? Might sound kinda groovy to the liberally inclined, but the fact of the matter is that it just isn't safe.

For one thing, it's an injection. Any kind of medical injection should always be done in a professional environment. Cocktail parties, no matter how many doctors are present, are always bad news for surgery. Nobody likes a spilled martini, especially on a new injection. A clean, sterile environment where a patient can be one-on-one with their doctor is the only way to go.

And then there is a much more imposing, underlying danger. Sharing such serious procedures in such a social setting takes away the gravity of the procedure. It might seem simple and dazzling enough to inject yourself with a bit of syrum and watch your lines fade, but one small slip and you could be somewhat deformed. It would be a total party crasher to develop a lazy eye in the middle of the hostess's speech.

So come on, people... booze, dancing, sharing needles? Do we really want to go through that again? It might be exactly where we're headed if we don't get smart and keep this technique professional.
