Cosmetic Surgery for Dummies

Cosmetic Surgery can be confusing for ANYONE who isn't a certified cosmetic surgeon. There are so many procedures available and all of them seem complex! As a community member, I have lots of questions about every procedure. While nothing can replace the knowledge of a cosmetic surgeon, R. Merrel Olesen, MD has recently published a book that comes very close. Cosmetic Surgery for Dummies is the book. It details everything you need to know to choose the right surgeon and procedure for you. R. Merrel Olesen, MD is the founder and Medical Director of the La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre in San Diego. Many of the real-life testimonials that he uses in his book come from the La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre! More than HALF of Women Undergo Cosmetic Surgery

When considering cosmetic surgery, have you ever decided against it because you would be embarrassed? If so, you're not alone! Many people reject cosmetic surgery simply because they think that "no one else gets a cosmetic surgery procedure". The results of a new survey, sponsored by Grazia Magazine, may surprise you. According to the magazine, 54 percent of women aged 25 to 45 in mainland Britain are planning to get a cosmetic surgery procedure at some point in their lives. Of those considering the surgery, 64 percent thought that it would give them more self-confidence, 42 percent wanted to look younger, and 13 percent admitted that they wanted to look more attractive to men. If you've ever wanted to have more self-confidence, look younger, or appear more attractive to men, a cosmetic surgery procedure may be for you. You are NOT alone!

Dr. Glynn Bolitho in California alone has successfully completed hundreds of cosmetic surgery procedures.

Get Sound Advice BEFORE Undergoing a Cosmetic Surgery Procedure

As so many of us know, the combined effects of aging, gravity, and the sun can wreck havoc on the skin. But people are peeling, injecting, and lifting their way back to a more youthful complexion at an ever-increasing rate. The number of different procedures that are offered to improve the appearance of the skin is booming at almost the same quick rate as the number of people getting the procedures. While there are countless new products that work effectively to enhance the appearance of skin, the plethora of products available can be overwhelming. The occasional horror stories do nothing to console a confused consumer like myself.

Fortunately for me and for all those like me, there is a way to get the best possible product without having to worry too much about side effects. The surgeon that you choose will make all the difference. While many skin-rejuvenation procedures are not "surgery", your best bet for a successful procedure is often to go to a certified plastic surgery clinic. At a certified plastic surgery clinic, you can be assured that the surgeon is qualified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is therefore reputable. With the right surgeon, aesthetically unpleasing signs of aging can be reversed. Broadway Center for Plastic Surgery in Denver, Colorado hosts certified plastic surgeon, Dr. David Broadway. He is knowledgeable about skin-rejuvenation procedures. He could be the perfect surgeon to give sound advice to insure that your skin procedure doesn't go awry, and you're left with the look you want!
