Before and After Surgery Skin Treatment

Obagi Medical Products, Inc. is a company which develops health and beauty products directed at dermatology and plastic surgery. They have released a new line of topical skin care called Obagi Condition & Enhance Systems which aids the cosmetic surgery procedure by preparing the skin beforehand and then maintaining good skin conditions after surgery. Obagi conducted a study recently of this product of more than 2,500 patients who used the Obagi skin care treatments along with Botox injections. The Condition & Enhance Systems increased overall skin quality ratings by two and a half times. Another study which was conducted by Obagi Medical Products, Inc. included a log which showed that 97% of physicians tested recommended pre-conditioning with the skin care treatment while 94% recommended the skin treatment for post-operation maintenance.

The skin treatment is designed to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as improve general skin complexion, like clearing mottled and sallow skin. The pre-operation treatment is especially noticable in its skin softening properties, which go to the extreme that some cosmetic peeling procedures have decreased in use. The post-operation use alleviates hyperpigmentation while increasing blood flow to promote a faster healing process. The most common procedures the skin treatment is used with are Botox, microdermabrasion, peels, fillers, laser hair removal and face lifts.
