Most-Asked-For Faces in Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgeons have released their list of most-asked-for faces for 2008 cosmetic surgery procedures. While many of the celebrities topping the list are to be expected, there are a few surprises in there as well.

Cosmetic surgeons have indicated that there are two main criteria required to land a celebrity on this list. Surprisingly, having perfect features is not one of them. Fame and likeability are the two main predictors of a celebrity's cosmetic popularity.

Most people don't want to look like someone who is constantly portrayed in a negative light. As a result, there are very few requests to look like Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, or Britney Spears, despite the fact that their faces are constantly gracing the covers of supermarket tabloids.

So which celebrities have the most commonly requested features?

Megan Fox and Katherine Heigl top the list for eye requests, while Charlize Theron and Jessica Alba have the most popular noses. Many women desire Carrie Underwood's and Lauren Conrad's cheeks, replacing Heather Locklear in this category. Jessica Alba, Beyonce, and Liv Tyler have desirable lips.

Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry remain constants on the list year in and year out. Cosmetic surgeons are constantly receiving requests for Jolie's lips and eyes, and Berry's eyes, nose, and breasts.

There are a few new additions for the men this year. Now that People Magazine has ranked him sexiest man alive, Hugh Jackman is starting to get a lot of requests, particularly for his jawline. Brad Pitt and George Clooney remain high on the celebrity cosmetic popularity list as well.

Yet, none of these stars came even close to challenging 2008's big winner. This year's star with the most commonly asked-for features is by far Scarlet Johansson. Cosmetic surgeons claim that her "trifecta" of perfect features, combined with her extreme likeability, have made her the overwhelmingly most-asked-for star of 2008.
