American Association of Blood Banks
Established in 1947 as a non-profit organization, the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) is dedicated to optimizing patient and donor care and safety by making advancements to
the practice and standards
of transfusion medicine and related biological therapies. With over 8,000 individual and 1,800 institutional members in all 50 states and 80 countries, AABB is focused on developing and delivering standards, as well as accediation and educational programs that further help the AABB accomplish their mission.
